(the default colormap has changed from jet as well, which is all to the good.)

Both of these issues can be fixed by passing the arguments `origin='upper', aspect='equal'` to the `plot()` method. I have a slightly different fix which uses a more interesting map projection to better show off using Cartopy to do the plot. A PR will be forthcoming.
