actually, merging in main should fix this error (the version of whats-new.rst in this branch is more than 3 months old)

it's this: /home/docs/checkouts/readthedocs.org/user_builds/xray/checkouts/5793/doc/whats-new.rst:714: WARNING: unknown document: io Not sure why, though, at line 714 there's nothing that could really cause that error. I'll restart the docs build, but if that doesn't work maybe merging in the current state of main can help?
