We need to write a contributing guide!

But in brief: - We use the NumPy docstring convention: https://github.com/numpy/numpy/blob/master/doc/HOWTO_DOCUMENT.rst.txt - For unit tests, we use pytest, with helper functions/methods for verifying comparisons between objects.
