This does look like a bug. At first glance, it looks like we're not handling that datatype correctly, since we can't pass it to `np.dtype`:
```python
~/Library/Caches/pypoetry/virtualenvs/-x204KUJE-py3.9/lib/python3.9/site-packages/xarray/core/indexing.py in __init__(self, array, dtype)
1283 dtype_ = array.dtype
1284 else:
-> 1285 dtype_ = np.dtype(dtype) # type: ignore[assignment]
1286 self._dtype = dtype_
1287
TypeError: Cannot interpret 'interval[float64, right]' as a data type
```
Probably we should interpret anything we can't convert there as an object. We'd definitely take a PR for this.","{""total_count"": 0, ""+1"": 0, ""-1"": 0, ""laugh"": 0, ""hooray"": 0, ""confused"": 0, ""heart"": 0, ""rocket"": 0, ""eyes"": 0}",,672842007
