It looks like it works with `netcdf4`-backend and should not work with `scipy` backend, which is the case with latest xarray, netCDF4 and scipy.","{""total_count"": 0, ""+1"": 0, ""-1"": 0, ""laugh"": 0, ""hooray"": 0, ""confused"": 0, ""heart"": 0, ""rocket"": 0, ""eyes"": 0}",,502720385 https://github.com/pydata/xarray/issues/3374#issuecomment-538512858,https://api.github.com/repos/pydata/xarray/issues/3374,538512858,MDEyOklzc3VlQ29tbWVudDUzODUxMjg1OA==,2443309,2019-10-04T18:33:15Z,2019-10-04T18:33:15Z,MEMBER,"I amble to reproduce this using the `scipy` backend using xarray=0.13. I don't recall all of the specifics but I know netCDF3/scipy had a limited support for some attribute types so this may be to blame here. If you can use the netCDF4 library, this doesn't seem to be an issue.","{""total_count"": 0, ""+1"": 0, ""-1"": 0, ""laugh"": 0, ""hooray"": 0, ""confused"": 0, ""heart"": 0, ""rocket"": 0, ""eyes"": 0}",,502720385
